Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear?

Although there is no dress code for the festival, we encourage you have some fun and dress up! Especially on Thursday and Friday when we will have our red carpet laid out for you to strut down. Also, most of the after parties do have dress codes (no jeans or sneakers allowed) so if you want to go out on the town afterward, dress stylish and classy!

If you dress up, we will too!

Can I arrive late and still gain entrance?

Yes! “Come and see one, or see all!” We invite you to peruse or festival schedule and read through the synopsis of the accepted entries to see which panels and films you would like to see and then you can chose when you want to arrive. We think everything is great - so we are pretty sure you will not want to miss any of it!

I’m arriving from out of town. Where can I stay?

The Memorial Auditorium is conveniently nearby the Sheraton, the Hyatt, the Clarion, the Holiday Inn Express, and many other lodging locations that range in price. We suggest that you visit the Sacramento Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for more information.

Where can I eat in the area?

What’s the difference between Thursday’s VIP and general admission?
Both your VIP and General Admission tickets will grant you access to a great festival experience.

Thursday VIP Admission grants you access to our VIP room where we are hosting complimentary hors ‘douvres and wine. Additionally you will have a chance to network with business leaders, filmmakers, and other distinguished guests. Leo Ceballos from Arte Clandestino will display some of his artwork and Dominic DeRose will also treat us to a saxophone recital.

Thursday General Admission grants you access to a cash bar, concessions, a chance to peruse our exhibit hall which will feature the movie posters of some of our filmmakers and more artwork by Leo Ceballos of Arte Clandestino.
