Legendary DP Don McAlpine Joins the Festival!

Legendary cinematographer Donald McAlpine joins the NGFF Friday night panel on August 29th! McAlpine has been shooting films in Hollywood for over 30 years and in 1999 was nominated an Academy Award for his work on Baz Luhrman’s Moulin Rouge . He has also been the director of photography for Predator , Romeo + Juliet , The Chronicles of Narnia , and the recently completed X-Men Origins: Wolverine. ”

Adam Del Rio speaks at NGFF’s opening night on the Innovative Artists panel!

A native of San Francisco and part of a Hollywood legacy (Dolores Del Rio ), Del Rio has been in such movies as Redline and The Pursuit of Happyness . You will be seeing him soon alongside Sean Penn and Josh Brolin in Gus Van Sant’s new film Milk. Not only an actor, he is also a writer for the Comedy Central TV series “Lil’ Bush: Resident of the United States.

APOCALYPTO star joins opening night panel!

Rudy Youngblood who starred as Jaguar Paw in Mel Gibson’s APOCALYPTO , will join the Next Gen Film Festival on opening night to discuss his experience shooting on an all HD project as well as discuss his new film Relentless . He will be joined by Demian Lichtenstein, director of the 2001 action comedy 3000 Miles to Graceland . Lichtenstein is helming Relentless , a new action feature that will utilize James Cameron’s new 3-D film technology.
